On December 11, 2024, a meeting of the Child Welfare and Protection Committee was held in the Bahadurpur Block Auditorium under the chairmanship of the Block Head. The meeting was attended by the Block Development Officer (BDO), Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), representatives from 20 Gram Panchayat Anganwadi centers, Gram Vikas Officers, and members of various organizations.
The session began with Dr. Vinay Prakash outlining the roles and responsibilities of the committee under Mission Vatsalya. He emphasized that effective functioning of the committees could address child protection issues efficiently. Dr. Prakash also explained the Sponsorship Scheme in detail. UNICEF representative Mohammad Imran presented insights on child labor.
A Panchayat Diary was launched by the Block Head, organization head Mrs. Jyoti Singh, and the BDO. The BDO explained that the diary aims to compile child-related information from all Anganwadi centers to better address child protection concerns. Mrs. Jyoti Singh urged participants to actively contribute information, which would support efforts to assist orphaned children, address child labor, and connect children to government schemes.
To promote education, two bicycles were distributed by the SDM to students—one to Aanchal from Raipur and another to a student from Khanpur. The SDM praised this initiative as a positive step toward promoting education.
The Block Head encouraged committees and employees to conduct regular meetings and address issues promptly. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants.
